Windows USA sent out a technician after my post. He adjusted 2 windows and showed me where to apply pressure on the top of the windows to close and lock them.
He also said it's my fault the windows don't close and lock easily.
When a person pays five hundred to a thousand for a windows he or she shouldn't have to worry about having to put too much or too little pressure on a windows every time you close it. Windows USA will gladly send out a service technician to fix, replace, or tell you how to open and close your windows.
This is my second home with Windows USA
I had new windows (18) put in my home in Oklahoma and they were great. The installers did a great job even though it was over a hundred degrees outside.
Hottest summer on record. They had to take 2 days due to the heat. I was fine with it. The windows were so good one of the installers showed me you could open one and put total body weight on it and not hurt it.
My friend Steve in Snyder Texas was so impressed he bought them. I moved to Texas a year ago. I needed windows so of course I called Windows USA. I have had these windows less than a year and I have 4 that would not lock.
I called the service department. In Oklahoma someone unsuccessfully tried to break into my house due to the Window but Windows USA replaced it in 24 hours. But yesterday I was told that the windows don't lock because I pulled out on them when I opened them. These can't be the same Alaskan windows I bought before.
The lady politely told me to push on the top and lock them and in 48 hours they will reshape themselves. My neighbor across the street listen to the pitch on the windows and was going to buy some as soon as he sold some lots at the lake.
I told him yesterday to buy from Home Depot. He knows I hate their service!
Dissatisfied
I’m paying all this money for these windows. I was told during the demo the I would need the cold or heat from the other side of the window.
That was a lie.
The windows sweat. This is a gimmick.
Window install and customer service
We had new windows installed in our home. The installers were very friendly and polite.
We had a few minor cracks and chips in paint of our home after the install. We contacted customer service and they got right on fixing every little detail I pointed out.
We absolutely love our new windows you can feel a huge temperature difference and they block so much sun! We could not be happier with the look of our home or the way windows USA has treated us!!
Window install
I'm just wondering if it is normal for your installers to install from the inside of the home instead of the outside? They scuffed up some of the paint and the wood around my windows from where they had to force them in. I wasn't expecting to have any damage inside my home because I now have to live with it or pay to have it fixed.
Windows Usa Sales Representative Review from Ridgeland, Mississippi
I don't usually post reviews but this was a unique experience.
My experience was almost identical to yours. After a long day at work (Monday) we had a 7:15p appointment that lasted until 9:45. Salesman claimed to be the regional sales manager and not a salesman and would just show me the windows. Gave a flawless demonstration. Quoted me an outrages price of over 7k for 4-2/0x5/0 & 2-3/0x6/0 vinyl windows. I told him no. He then proceeded to tell me my home was perfect to be his feature home. If I would just let him take before and after pictures he would discount my project. But I had to say yes on the spot. He made some calls and got it down to 6300. I said no. He then continues to make more phone calls to lower the price to 5900. I said no. More phone calls. He tells me they can give me most of the windows for FREE and gets it down to $4400. I still say no. In the middle of all this my my wife and 3 year old twins come home and are trying to go to bed. he puts his boss on speaker phone so all 3 of us can have a discussion about lower it again. It's at that point that I tell him he has to leave and that I want to get to my family now. He doesn't get it. He finds evey excuse to stay in the house. All the while I'm taking his things from the table and moving them outside. It wasn't until I got loud and disgruntle that he got the idea, got off the phone and left.
He had a great product and a great sales pitch. But I didn't like the gimmicky feel. I don't like being pushed to make an impulse buy. I prefer to make calculated purchases. This company doesn't allow for that. They want to swoop in, woo you and make the sale. If they would have given me time to consider I would have likely bought as I'm deeply in need of a window upgrade. I have 40yr old single pane aluminum windows. Eek!
Rude Windows Staff
I keep getting "Windows" staff calling me about 10 times a day to "fix my windows problem". I never call them.
Today, I just had another one call me and they all have the "Same Accent", they don't seem to understand when I say No thank you or I don't need your help. I had one today that started questioning me as to why I say No. This is every time that I receive a call from them. They just don't seem to understand the word "NO" I am speaking perfect English as I was born in the US and I am an educator.
He just said *** you" and hung up. I can't block the number on my phone as it is always a different number. This is very upsetting. I have my own IT guy that I have used for the last 4 years and I don't need anyone else getting into my computer.
Who do these people think they are? They are always rude and aggressive, but today was the worst person I have every talked to.
Let the company propose a solution
Windows USA - Windows Review from Greenville, Alabama
The salesman was great at what he does and I knew out home needed Windows. I never knew that I would be purchasing the Windows through a credit card.
I was told my payment would be $159 and I haven't saw that payment yet. My first payment was around $240.
I would have NEVER purchased these windows if I had of known this. One very upset customer
Wonderful experience
I've read the reviews and we did not receive any high pressure sales. We had researched numerous other windows and although not the cheapest - not the most expensive either. We did end up purchasing and the install went flawlessly. The team was very knowledgeable and they fixed several problem issues without nickel and diming us.
They cleaned up after themselves and did everything that was promised. The tilt is easy to open and clean
I have nothing but wonderful things to say.
- Great sales staff
- Great follow-up
- Great installation
Very aggressive salesmen
My husband and I were referred by a family member. We knew we needed new windows but knew going in we would not be buying them soon with a child in college but needed one estimate anyway.
Some of the things the other people said was our exact experience. Salesman came to the house 8:45 pm( had 8:30 appointment), gave us $15,000 estimate. Told him no,we could not do it right now. He got on the phone with some manager and told them what good people we were and the price kept coming down and that the rebate could be used unless we signed that night etc.
Gave the phone to my husband and myself. This went on and on until 10:30 pm when I had lost my patience. I stood up from the table and gathered my things and finally told him he had to leave. Asked if I was angry and I was not but he had to get up and get out of my house. Still didn't get the hint until I opened the door for him and as he was walking out whoever he was talking to still was lowering the price.
Anytime someone tells you the price is only for that day, you need to tell them that you don't want it.
We might have considered them for the future not not after that experience. The only bright spot was the $100 Walmart gift card but we earned that!

Windows USA - Windows Review from Little Rock, Arkansas
Windows USA out of Hot Springs, AR is a borderline scam. Very high pressure sales tactics!
They do have a great product but will start off with an astronomical price. They also talk up their referral program and how you get $100 off for every person you refer and they meet with. What they don't tell you is that anyone you refer has to meet a certain criteria for you to get the $100. Like they have to have so many windows or the windows have to be so old.
That was what me and my wife were counting on to get the price down and now we're stuck with the full balance. Buyer beware!
Windows USA - Review in Building Products category from Bossier City, Louisiana
Windows USA has very aggressive salespeople and they will stay till they make a sale. They have a very good product but beware of outrageous starting price.Hang in there and if you get them for half of starting price or ten per cent over half good job you made a good deal.
Did not uphold "we can fix any space before window installed"
We live in an older home. Told sales rep we would undoubtedly need repairs to window opening on two windows we knew of. His response " we can repair, fix any opening before installation.
We have three windows all on same side of house that are not level. Of course this was not noticed the day we wrote check. After dealing with the harassment about referrals for days they finally came out to see my problem.
Response! We'll there is nothing we can do about that. Too bad we did not notice this before payment.
Then they continued to call about my referrals! Sure I said I would give referrals complete with pictures of the unlevel windows. That stopped the calls cold.
Make sure you check level of windows and really get up close to see all caulking is neat. And if you have hardwood floors don't let them out of your sight. They will drag buckets across your floors leaving scratches. (We had just resurfaced ours and explicitly asked them to take care).
We love the windows, but we paid way too much and it was a nightmare. Please compare and have prices in mind before you call them. And wait before committing, the price will come down. We just we're not prepared for the aggressive sales pitch and we had not done enough research.

I had to deal with the same thing but I have in and purchased the windows. The first set were measured writing do the couldn't be installed.
Now I'm waiting on them to come and install the new set. They called the day before install to cancel because the installer is having problems with his truck. I've taken off my job twice to be home for the install. Now on to if all that I was told that it was going to take 5 days to install the windows.
I can't take off my job for a week.
I'm paying 19,000.00 dollars and the service so far is terrible. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone.
Also, the windows are not Energy Star Certified, so can't get the tax credit for such a large purchase amount!!!
I agree! I felt so pressured into buying the windows (sales person was from Arkansas).
He said I had to choose right then to get the price. I went ahead and got them, but I really don't like them. It was almost dark when he finally showed up and I couldn't tell at the time that the windows really didn't match my house color. He just wouldn't leave my house!
I said no so many times! A word of advice...always have other adults present in the home when you have these type of demonstrations!! I feel if I hadn't been the only one home, he would have left when I first said no. If given the chance to wait and consider, I probably would have gotten them, because I needed new windows.
He also told me the windows are tinted...they "clearly" are not. My old windows were and I really miss them, even though they were old.
I have not noticed a real difference in the temperature in my house either. Just so disappointed in myself and Windows USA for buying the windows!
The exact same happen to me: we went from 70k all the way down to 25k lmao. I would never buy windows from THESE IDOTS.
Waste of time and the speaker phone crap is a joke. 3 hrs of this they should be ashamed. Who in the world would trust them to do anything much less install windows.
Give me a break USA windows. I see why you were sued.
We just had the same thing happen to us. They were only suppose to give a free quote.
I feel that the price given for 15 window is still very high. we did not find these reviews because we were looking under the wrong name.
16 double pane Windows with another company is half of what I've been juked for. I wish I could cancel,

I also had man come to my house and gave and estimate of 21,000 to replace my windows. I just had my house painted and window reglazed and told them I was no longer interested in replacing my windows.
They insisted on coming anyway so I figured I would listen and see. We loved the presentation and feel the windows are very good but the price is crazy. He said there is a promotional price of 17,000 at this time but wouldn't give us a week or so to think about it. The price was then lowered to 15,000.
Still we said we can't afford it at this time and would need to wait about six months. Still he insists we purchase the Windows and calls the office and they lower the price to 13,700. Still pushy and won't give us time to think about it but guarantees the price of 21,000 for 1 year. He said the promotion is due to the materials being purchased at a special rate and they material can't be guaranteed to remain in stock.
So my husbands says well let us think about it and we will call you next week. Still he says I can only give you the price of 13,700 right now tonight. Schetchy is all I have to say! They have a great product and awful salesmen.
I don't like to be pressured and scared into a big purchase. If I go to buy a car and they give me a good price as long as they still have the car I can get it at that price, so why can't they do the same.
I am not sure I would trust the installation if I can't trust the salesman. I felt abused after this man left my home.
I agree completely. The salesman said he was a manager & he kept calling a boss & lowering the price.
All this made me have a feeling of distrust.
Had to practically run him off.
